The Museum’s gardens

From 1 September to 6 December, the Atelier is hosting an exhibition dedicated to projects by students from the Haute école du paysage, d'ingénierie et d'architecture de Genève (HEPIA). At the heart of their thinking: How can we imagine the future of the Museum's gardens?

For several years, the Museum has been bringing the gardens to life through partnerships with schools of architecture and landscape architecture. Between 2024 and 2026, HEPIA students explored this unique site through field observation, biodiversity studies and an analysis of how the gardens are used.

This immersion gave rise to the twelve projects on display in the Atelier, illustrating all the visions the students have imagined for inhabiting the gardens and making use of these spaces, with a particular focus on the relationships between people and their environment.
