Solidarity Sunday – Introduction to sashiko embroidery

This workshop offers an introduction to sashiko embroidery, a traditional Japanese technique based on the repetition of regular, decorative stitches. Following a presentation of the workshop and the materials, you will learn the basic techniques and principles of sashiko stitching. You will then be guided through the embroidery process, exploring the concepts of rhythm, texture and expression through thread. Educational materials will be provided to offer technical and cultural guidance.

This workshop is the final of a series of three complementary sessions led by Studio Borlò, under the guidance of Hélène. Each session explores a different aspect of textile work, allowing you to gradually deepen your practice in a friendly and supportive atmosphere that encourages exchange and creativity.
