Henry Dunant’s Nobel Prize medal

The first Nobel Peace Prize – made of 204 grams of gold – was awarded to Henry Dunant in 1901 for his role in founding the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). His descendants entrusted the medal to the Museum 92 years later.
